Urban Villa

A grand villa in ’t Gooi, the Netherlands: a lot of history and charm, but with a dark and poky feel. With clients who repatriated after having lived in a Mediterranean climate for years, it quickly became clear to me, that ‘light and airy’ was what this family wanted. Closed walls and doors were turned into open corridors and the dark colours were replaced by high gloss white and fresh tones.
The character of the house remained but it now has an atmosphere and a
feel to it that matches our time and even more important, the client!
